There are plenty of jobs to do all year round on an allotment. Preparing the ground can begin as soon as the last harvest is finished. Then preparing seedlings under cover ready for the spring, planting outdoors and of course WEEDING ! Later in the year we start to reap a harvest and enjoy the fruits of our labours. From vegetables to fruit and tomatoes, allotment produce really does taste better than that you can buy. Those who enjoy a challenge can also build a shed, raised seed beds, a wind pump or even grow watercress ! It's healthy too...
